Stop Smoking Once And For All To Avoid The Dangers

It wasn't until the nineteen fifties and nineteen sixties that health experts finally began to assert what people had long suspected: smoking is extremely dangerous to your health. Regardless of warnings, it has taken the past several decades for people to finally get the message that they need to stop smoking. Why is it necessary to quit, and why are people in denial? The answers could save your life. A Dangerous Habit It is important that smokers stop smoking because it is extremely hazardous for health.

There are so many consequences associated with smoking, that it is a wonder that smokers don't stop immediately! Some consequences are long term, while others are short term. Some consequences are vanity-related, while others are health related. Whatever the consequences may be, they should be enough to make people stop smoking. In the short term, smoking can lead to many problems. Smokers tend to have bad breath, stained teeth, and their clothes and hair smell like smoke.

These reasons are vanity-related. However, other short term consequences include: lower athletic ability, cough and sore throat, the cost of smoking, faster heart beat, raised blood pressure, and increasing the risk of second hand smoke for the people around you. Long term, the consequences are much more detrimental. They can even be fatal, and have been for many people. The toxic chemicals found in cigarettes can lead to many types of cancer, including lung cancer. Additionally, smoking cigarettes can lead to severe breathing problems, a risk for heart disease, wrinkles, increased risk for stomach ulcers and acid reflux disease, and a risk for gum disease. Many people have died because they did not stop smoking, either directly or indirectly. Quit For Those Around You If you won't stop smoking for yourself, then stop for those around you. Second hand smoke is just as dangerous, if not more, than first hand smoke. Additionally, smokers set bad examples for their children. Pregnant women who smoke put their unborn child at risk.

The consequences involved if you do not stop smoking do not only affect you, but the people around you as well. Breaking The Habit People who do not stop smoking increase their chances of an early death'and that's a fact. Whether you stop for yourself, or for someone you love, the important thing is that you give up the habit for life. From a personal point of view, I detest the smell of cigarettes It reeks badly and irritates my nasal cavity. However, after discussion with a few people who smokes; an epiphany stroked. Smokers smoke to relieve themselves from stress and also partly due to addiction towards the nicotine content. It's true when they say; once you pop, you can't stop. Smoking should never even be attempted as the quitting phase is mentally as well as physically challenging. Do you know that when a person smokes, they're releasing second-hand smoke to the surroundings? This means that whoever is beside them would also inhale the smoke that they have just expelled. The detrimental effects of smoking is that cigarette smoke contains about 1000 harmful chemicals and the expelled smoke contains about 250 still harmful chemicals. So to those non-smokers who breathed in whatever smoke that a smoker releases, he would also be harmed. A smoker tends to have stained teeth due to cigarette smoke and bad breath.

Notice how someone cringes when they are having a conversation with someone who smokes. The fact that a smoker is actually making someone uncomfortable just by talking to them is enough indication that it will cause relationship tension between couples. A non-smoker in a couple will definitely be put off by the party who smokes when they indulge in kissing. Eventually, it will cause a relationship to collapse if the non-smoker cannot tolerate anymore and the smoker refuses to stop smoking cigarettes when the non-smoker is around. This means that smoking can affect a person's social life with other people. It does not only refer to couple relationships but other people such as parents and employers who are non-smokers themselves. A problem for smokers to anticipate is during interview sessions with an interviewer who is a non-smoker. Since, humans tend to be judgemental; the odour that a smoker diffuses will definitely put off the interviewer. The interviewer might view the smoker as an obstacle for him to achieve the company's full potential due to the amount of time he will be spending to smoke and also money on cigarettes.

Definition and Interesting Features of Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a neurological chronic condition that affects the musculoskeletal tissues of the body. The disorder is mostly responsible for inducing discomfort, pain and fatigue in the muscles, ligaments, tendons and in the areas surrounding the joints. People who suffer from fibromyalgia are constantly confronted with intense pain that tends to reoccur on a regular time basis. The pain caused by the disorder is felt deep inside the muscles and in certain points called trigger points. A common feature to all people with fibromyalgia is the location of the pain; to all patients fibromyalgia pain occurs in the same trigger points. Although people with fibromyalgia perceive the pain at different intensities, they claim to permanently feel a different level of pain in their soft muscular tissues.

An interesting aspect of fibromyalgia is that it can be very difficult to detect in some patients. The symptoms of fibromyalgia are common to many other conditions and therefore they can be misleading in establishing the appropriate diagnose. Although some of the symptoms of fibromyalgia may resemble those of rheumatoid arthritis, people with fibromyalgia seem to be in perfect health when they are examined by a physician, revealing no signs of muscular dysfunctions. Basic physical examinations and common laboratory tests usually don't reveal the presence of fibromyalgia. This is due to the fact that pain, fatigue and discomfort are mentally induced to patients with fibromyalgia, as a consequence of abnormal activity of their nervous system. Although they show no physical abnormalities or dysfunctions, their experienced pain is real!

Abnormal brain activity is considered to be the main cause of fibromyalgia and there are two areas of the brain thought to be involved in the process. A high output of the mesencephalon (the upper region of the brain) accelerates the heart rate, increases blood pressure and raises the body temperature. People with fibromyalgia often experience sudden changes in body temperature and sometimes they sweat abundantly and even have fever. Also, a high activity of the mesencephalon is responsible for difficulties in falling asleep and inconstant sleep patterns. Most people who suffer from fibromyalgia have trouble sleeping and in some cases they even suffer from insomnia. Therefore, the cause for fibromyalgia lack of sleep is thought to be the abnormal activity of the mesencephalon. The permanent fatigue felt throughout the whole body by people with the disorder is amplified by inappropriate sleeping patterns, un-refreshing sleep or insomnia.

Another part of the brain that is considered to be responsible for inducing other fibromyalgia symptoms (anxiety, depression, lack of concentration, poor cognitive abilities, loss of short-term memory and confusion) is the cerebellum. A lower activity of the cerebellum is thought to be the cause of other fibromyalgia symptoms and the majority of people who suffer from the disorder reveal abnormal activity of both cerebellum and mesencephalon.

Fibromyalgia is considered to be a serious condition. Due to the chronic character of fibromyalgia, patients require ongoing treatment and therapy. If left untreated, fibromyalgia can cause other symptoms such as nausea, loss of appetite, abdominal pain and swelling, vomiting, internal distress. Many people with fibromyalgia also seem to become depressed as the disorder develops and sometimes they even indulge in suicidal acts. Therefore, it is vital to spot the presence of fibromyalgia in time and appropriate measures must be taken in order to prevent further complications and undesirable effects.

Human growth hormone supplements benefits and safety

From the moment the natural growth hormone was discovered in the human body it's been a puzzle. Even though researchers have identified a lot about human growth hormone, there are still some questions. For instance, how intrinsic is the union between energy levels and the aging process? Consider the connection.

After All...

What is it that makes a child so energetic? Those vitality levels are considered to be unswervingly tied to the natural growth hormone located in the human body. If you compare the levels of human growth hormone in an individual at 20 to a person three times that age, you'll discover a significant decrease in the amount of this protein blend. Which gives rise to the question, does the diminished human growth hormone protein level prompt lower vitality levels? Asked a different way could the introduction of human growth hormone supplements expand the amount of energy a person has?

All things considered...

Imagine what you could do with an everyday energy boost? If you doubt the benefits of more energy, grab a look at the plethora of products available that are geared for no purpose other than to extend energy. The selection is bewildering. But there's another advantage to human growth hormone supplements.

Not only does human growth hormone augment energy, it also helps combat the aging process. Anti aging products are also available in abundance, but the natural human growth hormone may very well be the solution you've been looking for. You may even want to try a human growth hormone releaser to stimulate your body's manufacture of this protein. After all, your body knew how to develop adequate supplies of human growth hormone when you were a child!

Every man dies. Not every man really lives. William Wallace in the movie Braveheart

Think for a moment about the interaction of youth, aging and energy. If you can recall back to your childhood, you are possibly awe struck at how hard you worked at every day, including playtime. And at the end of the day, you can likely remember drifting off to sleep as soon as your skull hit the pillow, and then sleeping a deep, restful sleep all through the night. Do you think it was all just because you were younger? What if the decrease in human growth hormone has impacted all those factors, how much energy you had for work and play, how well you slept, and how rested you were when you woke each morning? Human growth hormone is released in pulses shortly after you settle asleep. The amount of human growth hormone diminishes with age and may plummet by three fourths between the ages of 20 and 60.

Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there. Will Rogers

If you're concerned about the potential side effects of human growth hormone supplements, you should take some time to hear what the experts are saying. While human growth hormone occurs naturally in your body, you're probably wise enough to realize that increasing even naturally occurring compounds and proteins isn't often a good idea.

In this instance, side effects are generally negligible and most individuals appear to find the risks worth the benefits. As with any dietary supplement, that becomes a personal choice and only you can determine what you should (and should not) bring into your body. Being astute with your supplement choices is just everyday sense.

Home Treatment For Eczema, Dermatitis

Home Remedies for Eczema are quite useful and safe as most people can confirm simply due to the fact that it's the type of skin condition that can hinder one's self-esteem and be extremely difficult to cure at the same time. The first thing that must be made clear about home remedies for eczema is, it's a serious condition, especially in its more severe forms. The symptoms that characterize it are red and scaly patches that are typically very itchy. These rashes can occur on all parts of the human body but in the case of infants mainly the scalp gets affected.

Let's start our list of home remedies of eczema by defining the things to avoid in the first place, because such precautions are more useful that the actual cures as they prevent the problem from happening in the first place. Try to avoid sugary foods like candy bars, ice cream and chocolate. These are the some of the sweetest things in life but we end up paying a high price for them so ask yourself are they really worth it? Spend more time outdoor especially when it's sunny as that's really good on the skin. Of course we are not talking about sunbathing in a 40 degree Celsius type of heat, but just to expose your eczema to the sun for a few minutes daily as that will help clear it up. But just don't overdo it, because your skin will get burned.

Once the eczema has become an absolute fact, then you have to seriously consider such home remedies for eczema and one of the most effective amongst them is to soak in a lukewarm bath with some dry oats in it. Oatmeal has been proven to have a positive effect on the skin. The thing to remember is that hot tubs should be avoided because the heat from the water will make the rash even worse. Soak in the bath for no longer than 15 minutes per day so that the skin gets well moisten.
There are various different herbs that can work as home remedies for eczema with high levels of effectiveness. Some of the most notable ones are chamomile, sage and marigold. The process of preparation is simple as all you got to do is add them to a cup of water and clean the affected areas with the mixture. Alternatively, you can drink up the mixture, although it appears that the direct application tends to be more effective.
Bilberries have the reputation for being one of the most effective home remedies for eczema. All you need is a dosage of 50 grams, put the bilberries in a steel container, and add a liter of water. Have the whole mixture lukewarm and keep in mind that you should leave it for an hour, to become homogenous. Then it's boiled for 20 minutes and becomes a really great cleanser that makes your skin healthy and protects it from various infections. Hope these home remedies will help you in treating the eczema.

Ayurveda Tips

The world of Ayurveda

(an ancient system of healing in India) is a lot about food. It's something we eat several times a day and what we put into our bodies can be compared to fuel.
I hope you will find the following Ayurveda tips useful.

  • Make sure you do some exercise every day as this helps to get your digestion and your metabolism 'moving'.
  • Take time at least once a day to get into meditation - you can also do some yoga exercies as well as this also helps to keep you calm, become more supple and even stop those awful food cravings we all get sometimes.
  • Get up early and be in bed, ready for sleep by around 10 each night.
  • Prepare your meals fresh every day and don't eat leftovers as they are lower in energy.
  • Make lunch your biggest meal with a light, easily digestible meal in the evening.
  • To help the digestive process, add cumin, turmeric, fenugreek, black pepper and fresh ginger to your meals.
  • Drink hot water throughout the day instead of cold water

Here are some more Ayurvedic tips to assist you in certain circumstances

  • Hot, spicy foods are not your friends if you are feeling irritable or even angry.
  • Don't eat salads or raw foods if you are feeling anxious or nervous.
  • Dairy products or sweets are a no-no if you are suffering from a cold as they can slow down recovery because they are mucus forming.
Although the above are general Ayurveda tips that we can all benefit from, if you delve further into this amazing healing system or visit a Ayurvedic doctor, you will find that our bodies are classified into three types, called doshas:
  1. Vata
  2. Pitta
  3. Kapha
This means that we are either one of the above types or possibly a combination. Vata types, for example, are usually slender with a light bone structure and they typically have cold hand and feet which means they love it when it's warm. They are a restless type, walking fast and also quick thinking. They also love more fatty food, mushy soups and loves sweet tastes as well as sour and salty food.

On the other hand, Pitta represents the principle of fire and so this means that digestion and assimilation of food is important. Therefore they tend to enjoy their food, their appetite is good and the temperature of their body is often higher so they like cool things. They have a good digestive system, an excellent memory and ask a lot of questions. They may be sensitive to fried food. They tend to urinate a lot as well as sweat profusely.

Kapha represents the energy of structure and lubrication and such people tend to be a bit overweight with heavy bones and a large compact frame. They have a steady appetite but their digestion is often slow and they walk and talk slowly. These types can easily spend their day sleeping or relaxing at home and they usually need the stimulus of caffeine to get their metabolism going in the mornings.

So you can see that what is good for a Vata type (they crave warmth, for example) is no good for Pitta types who tend to be overheated.
However, it should be clear from the above that Ayurveda is based on firm principles and is a great system for good health. I hope the Ayurveda tips are of use to you.
